Congratulations Julie and Matt

One of my all-time favorite shots!!! I had to hike to the other side of this wall cutout to get the shot. What magic!I recently shot with Michelle, Michelle Johnson Photography. As you can see from my photos, I had such a great time shooting for her as a second shooter. Michelle and I really enjoyed working with each other... she is a very talented photographer with a fantastic personality and creative eye. Julie and Matt were the greatest couple to work with, as well as their bridal party; they all had such great style, yet a slight "wild" side too. Julie and Matt's wedding was held at the Skirball Culteral Center, Los Angeles. According to the New York Times, the Skirball Cultural Center has established itself as one of the world's most dynamic Jewish cultural institutions, and among the most prominent cultural venues in the United States. Its mission is to explore the connections between four thousand years of Jewish heritage and the vitality of American democratic ideals. Its goal is to welcome and inspire people of every ethnic and cultural identity in American life.
Brother and sister chemistry! What a cool day for fashion shots; they knew just how to work the camera. By the way, I shot these two black and white photos, above and below, with my wonderful Canon 35mm f/1.4 L lens. I love the dimensional look and sharpness of this lens.... to me its worth the $1,250.00 that I spent for this lens.Thank You Deborah for letting me borrow your fish-eye lens. That lens worked so well for this couple and will be my next lens purchase!!!Do you notice the star pattern in the background??? That was Michelle's camera going off at the same time when I shot my photo. A flash is nearly 1/800 of a second in speed, and I was able to capture the exact moment of her shot, what luck. Plus it gave the photo a nice touch!!!

I love them all!! The cake shot is awesome!! The complimentary colors and diagonal lines really work for this image. I so need the 35mm 1.4!!!! I better start booking some more weddings to pay for one! You are such a strong photographer and I can't wait to work together again!
